Laptop battery reconditioning

hello

so in today's episode I'm going to be showing you how to rebuild an old laptop battery now in this particular example i'm going to be using this old rival

clans show but keep in mind that what i'm going to be showing you is really

could be applied to just about any laptop or even an appliance like a cordless drill

ok now one of the first things I want to tell you is there's really no reason to

be apprehensive about doing a procedure like this and take this battery for

example I mean it is dead I mean it is totally did it will not run the laptop

even for 10 seconds so no matter what i do to this battery i'm not going to make it any worse off

than it is now ok the first step is to take the battery apart this particular one is held

together by snaps some batteries use screws and some even use glue but I've

never come across a battery that couldn't be disassembled with some

ok so once the battery was part I knew what kind of cells that used as i

suspected they were 18 650 cells around 3.7 volts so the next step was to jump

on ebay can buy some all right so let me give you a little warning about buying a lithium batteries

on ebay if you buy a cheap Chinese battery like an ultra fire

you can be absolutely sure that whatever they list as the million power rating is

a total lie

for example a good battery like made by panasonic or same song will typically

advertise a million power rating of somewhere between 2000 2500 and that's

pretty realistic

now this if you look at that for example these ultrafire batteries on ebay you'll

see their advertising six thousand five hundred million powers that is total

bull as so realistically at the separate is is these batteries actually have even

less than the name brand batteries when people have tested on they've actually

found they're more like a thousand fifteen hundred million power is rather

than 6,500 I mean think about it

the tesla model s use 18 650 batteries if six thousand five hundred million

Power Cells really existed then that car would be able to get around seven

hundred and thirty miles of range instead of 280 miles but what they are

is super cheap

yeah I actually paid like a dollar apiece for the

batteries and it's actually pretty good because a name brand matter would run

more like four or five dollars apiece and since this is not a computer i

really need a lot of run time on it's mostly just an experiment

you know i'm ok with the with the lower milli ampere rating one thing that's

good to do is sort of sketch out the arrangement of the cells how this

battery pack is set up is that the cells are actually paired together and the

pairs are arranged in series like this

the main power connects at each end but there are sensor wires between each cell

pair for monitoring and balancing in fact if I really wanted to be cheap

I can actually eliminate for cells of this pack and it would still work just

fine but the runtime would be cut in half by the way when working with

batteries i always like to keep one of these nearby just in case i overheat one

that we're going like thermal runaway or something

so now that I have the sells out of the battery i need to desolder them and one

of the things i found out was that these metal clips are actually welded on so I

was not able to be sort of them so i had to use wire as a substitute one of the

first things I did was put some initial solder on the battery terminals

you need a pretty strong soldering iron to do this is you have to eat the

battery up pretty quickly to do this you have to make sure the solder X has

actually stuck to the battery like this

of course you have to get both sides and the negative side is a little harder

because there's more to heat up

so then I strip some of the wire and begin the process of solving it onto the

battery pack

I found it easier to take the batteries in Paris while doing the soldering and

then I also eventually set up some wood blocks into kind of a jig that help hold

these together while at work

once all the main connections were done you can see how it mimics the design of

the original battery

all that was left to do now is connect the original electronics to the cells

then I put it all back inside the original battery and of course you have

to close

well the cells apparently had no charge whatsoever as the computer would not

turn on so i had to plug in the AC adapter

after a moment it started to take the charge and before long I can actually

see the percentage start to rise but keep in mind the battery pack is not

calibrated the only way to actually calibrate it would be to go ahead and

fully discharge the battery and recharge it several times that way the little

micro controller inside the battery pack will be able to learn the actual

capacity of the battery once it was charged up I unplugged it and set a

timer going so i can see how long it would run

I turned off sleep mode to make sure that the computer state of maximum drain

the whole time so I'm not even sure how long a brand new battery is supposed to

last and i have a clamshell

now in the past I've had used batteries go as long as two and a half hour so my

guess is a brand-new and would do three possible even for hours

so be really interesting to see what these a cheap batteries will do so I

noticed around the one-hour mark it was still going strong

so far so good or so I thought

it turns out it went in to suspend mode not too long after and wouldn't wake up

so I had to plug the power cable and sure enough it was drink 20

so it turns out these el cheapo batteries from ebay will only run the

computer for about an hour and 35 minutes which is probably at least half

of the original runtime of brand new battery so that means the million power

rating on these batteries is like i mentioned before probably closer to one

thousand maybe 1,500 at the

at the absolute best so overall I'd say it's a successful product because I

pretty much knew what to expect when i was getting into it and so that's just

kind of warning on those those ebay batteries just you know you get what you

pay for so as long as you're ok with with the cheaper batteries you know what

you're getting you know

hi everybody this is ebay depot and today we're doing an unboxing of thevizio d32 dash D 1 D Series here's the TV it's a smart TV it's 1080p and it's this one is 32 inch of course they have many sizes and this is a very affordable line that they've made the TV features Smart TV features built-in Wi-Fi it has back lit LED and it's got a hundred twenty Hertz refresh rate which is fast movement and of course you have the option of slowing down I'm going to go ahead and open it and show you guys what's inside so inside the package you have the TV itself you have your manual along with a few screws for the legs and your batteries which are triple ace the police your power cord your two little feet that hold the TV up and you're smart remote which has three buttons right here for I don't know what that first one insects UMO netflix and some radio and then all the features down here i'm going to set it up and then show you guys what it looks like after I've set it up and give you a little overview of what I think about it so here's the TV after has been set up i'll show you what the back looks like before we get on to it and here's all the different plugs laughs on first on the side you have your regular audio inputs nothing right then you have your optical input and then your hdmi and USB and then you have more inputs down here which is the TV input and the regular inputs just the video oh one second red blue green your land and another easy my back there now I'm just going to turn it on and give you guys a quick preview of what it looks like so this is the actual display when it's playing something on netflix the picture is nice crisp clear and the colors are vivid the sound however is something that's lacking on this TV we got a speaker to use with it so that's going to come later in a hotel speaker i'll do a review of that when it comes in and but it's a great looking cheesy an amazing quality for the price thanks everybody for watching this has been an unboxing the vizio d32 dash d1 vizio 32inch TV till next time

Taotronics bluetooth speaker bass review

Hi I'm and this is my favorite speaker ever.

Okay, okay, hold on, maybe that was too fast, but still, I'm pretty much in love with this speaker. Is it the right speaker for you though? Let's find find out, in this review of the

"TaoTronics SK06"

So let's begin with the design and the build quality.

The first word that comes to mind for me when looking at this speaker is "smooth". The aluminum

build gently wraps the whole speaker except from the front grills, with chambered edges

that add some character, resulting in an overall really good looking package.

The only interruptions in this aluminum frame are the the circular button on top - with

the power button and the usual media playback controls - and the two ports on the back for

wired audio input and battery recharging. Keep in mind that oddly enough there is no

option to change track, so you'll want to keep your music source at hand.

Having an elegant design however does not imply being light nor flimsy by any means,

as it delivers a really great build quality as well.

It's pretty large for a "portable" speaker, coming in at around 2 by 2 by 7 inches, with

a quite substantial weight of 1.85 pounds. While on one side this kind of size reduces

portability quite a bit, it feels really really sturdy in the hand, and the anti-slip rubberized

base adds up to the feeling of solidness of this device.

Okay, enough of the design, how about sound quality?

Well, I'm quite sure I've figured it out by now, but the SK06 is simply put one of the

best speakers I've ever listened to. I haven't tried super high-end portable speakers,

like 500$ speakers, but I have tried many in its range, and this easily beats speakers

that are double the price. The sound is clear and sharp, bass is loud

and punchy -, without losing much detail on the highs and the dims - it gets really loud,

it's overall just great. You can start to notice some distortion at

max volume, but it's not a big issue, and you'll hardly ever use it at the ridiculously

high max volume anyway.

Now, does this reproduce a 100% accurate sound? Not really. Should it? Again, not really.

From my point of view, and from the point of view of many customers out there, a good

speaker should make music sound good. Over-processing is of course never a good

thing, but if a manufacturer can add a bit of flavor to my music without overdoing it,

I'm a happy user.

There is one thing though that you need to keep in mind before buying this speaker, and

that is battery life. While it's absolutely great to get 20W of

power out of this little beast, you'll run out of juice pretty fast if you don't plug

it in every few hours. If you like to pump that volume all the way

up, you'll hardly ever get more than 4 hours, while you can get 5 or 6 if you keep it lower.

Overall, this means needing an external battery if for example you want to take it with you

for a trip over the weekend. For some users this may not be a problem at

all, but just keep that in mind if you plan to use it for a few consecutive hours far

from a wall plug.

Probably the most surprising thing for me about this speaker was price: as of today,

the SK06 goes for 60$ on Amazon, which is an incredible deal all things considered.

Okay so at the end of the day, who is this speaker for?

If you love music and you like to share it with friends, the SK06 will deliver the sound

quality and the power you need to fill one or two rooms at a time.

It definitely isn't the ideal solution if you need something small and portable to carry

music with you all day, but for a home solution it's simply impossible to find something better

at this price point.

Wheelwitness hd pro dash cam review

 Hi, it's Parris from Epic Review Guys, and I finally received in the mail my Dash Cam Pro!

Out for a drive today, thought I'd try it out. The Dash Cam Pro is in a lot of late night TV commercials for As Seen on TV products.

The famous line is the "Oh yeah, officer?

"Let's check the Dash Cam Pro."

So it looks like a good idea, it's a camera. that you can mount in your windshield that will

record all the time, so when that moment comes.that there's an accident, either you're involved in or you might see someone else being involved in, you've got video of it.

Goes for about 40 dollars, I'll put a link to it down below this video.

I actually had a fairly unpleasant time with the ordering process and what happened after,

but I'll tell you about that a little bit later. Let's see what comes in the box.



First of all are the instructions. There's actually not a whole lot to it, you simply have to mount it in your windshield, hook it up to your car's battery charger, and as soon as you turn the car on it will start to record.

Okay, here's the device itself. You can see the lens there on the front. It has a little view screen panel that flips down. So you can look at that, you can review the footage there. And the whole thing twists around so you can look out the front window of your car, where it would normally be pointed, you would expect, or as in the commercial, you can point it to

the back of the minivan and see your children, who are always singing when you're out on

those long drives. Now, it's got a spot here to plug in the power with a USB connector to your cigarette lighter. On top, under this panel, goes a rechargeable. battery that they provide. And on this side there's a spot for an SD card, which they do not provide, and there is no internal memory in this, so without getting an SD card, you won't be able to record anything.

And here, underneath the screen, you can see Menu, Down, Up, and Mode, and right here on the end there's a power on/off, and I think this is for taking photos.

Here's the rechargeable battery. If you're running it off of the car's cigarette lighter power source, I don't know whether you need this, but of course, you may want to use that other plug to charge your cell phone or something.

There it is. Cigarette plug in that goes to a small USB connector that plugs into the device. Very long cable, probably about five feet long,

so you shouldn't have any trouble wherever your cigarette lighter is, reaching wherever you

want to put this on your windshield. There's the suction cup mounting piece.

And another cable, this one connects to a standard USB of your computer, so you can

plug this into the camera and transfer the files over if you don't wanna take out the SD card to do that.

I picked up a 16 gigabyte SD card to use with this.The maximum you can put in is a 32 gigabyte, and with that it's supposed to give you
